North Bay & District Multicultural Centre

DEVELOPMENT OF NEW VISUAL IDENTITY AND BRAND GUIDELINES

CHALLENGE

TWG Communications was challenged to create an identity for a newly established multicultural and immigrant services centre.  This new facility is the result of government changes regarding immigration policies.

INSIGHT AND KEY CONSIDERATIONS

Smaller cities and northern communities have not always been known as key places for new immigrants to settle.  The last decade or so has seen a shift in immigrant resettlement efforts to include smaller communities in need of increased and diverse populations.

IMPLEMENTATION

Our process began with an absolutely clean slate and we were provided with very few parameters.  The only criteria was that the look needed to be clean, non-threatening, easily recognizable, colourful and enduring thus providing a long shelf life.  Several concepts were discussed with the client but one clearly standing out.  So pleased was the client, they specifically highlighted TWG in all media information regarding their new look.

RESULTS

The launch of the new look was a definite success with municipal and federal VIPs in attendance and all commenting on the uniqueness of the logo.  The client was so pleased that TWG Communications figured prominently in his address to the media.
